How do I group my Hive Spotlights?

Grouping your lights will be available from Actions within the Hive app soon. In the meantime you can create a Quick Action to group lights to turn them on, off or at a set brightness and for a set amount of time. To get started follow the below steps:

1. Head to your Hive app and log in if needed using your username and password
2. Go to your Hive Home dashboard and tap '+"
3. Tap ‘create a quick action’ and choose from one of the templates available or build your own. To personalise the Quick Action just tap on 'Then' and pick from the available options.
4. Here you can choose which bulbs to include in the group. When finished tap 'Done' then 'Next'
5. Name the Action and tap 'Save' to finish.

That's it! You should now see the Quick Action you just created in the 'My actions' tab list and on your Hive Home dashboard. Repeat for each group of bulbs you want to create.

You can also group your lights using Amazon Alexa:

1. Go to the menu, and select 'Smart Home'.
2. Select 'Groups'.
3 . Select 'Add Group', and then select a group type:
- Smart Home Group: Turn devices on/off, lock/unlock, and more.
4. Enter a name for your group or select from the list of 'Common Names'. When creating a name, make sure to:
- Give your group a recognizable name for Alexa to identify.
- Use names that have only a few syllables.
- Give each group a different name if you have multiple groups. Also try to avoid names that start with the same first word.
5. Select the bulbs you want to add to the group then tap 'Save' to finish.
