Explore what's possible with Hive and IFTTT

IFTTT stands for If This, Then That. It’s a platform that gets different apps and devices talking to each other, making life even simpler.

It means you can link your favourite sports app, for example Map My Run, to your Hive devices. This way the house is at the perfect cool temperature when you are coming home from a jog. Or if you like, set the lights to turn on as soon as it gets dark by linking to your weather app.

Getting started with IFTTT

  1. Sign up to IFTTT
Head to the IFTTT website here, and follow the instructions to set up your account.

  2. Find your Hive Products
Search for your Hive products and select either Active Heating or Active Light.

  3. Sign in
You’ll be asked to grant permission to IFTTT to link with Hive. Tap Yes and enter your Hive details.
