Thank you for your interest in Hive’s family of smart products and services. Hive has discontinued the direct sale of our products and related services in the United States and Canada effective December 31st, 2019.

We value our customers and will continue to support our products. We will notify our active customers of changes to how we support their app and devices. Please see a few of the Frequently Asked Questions regarding the decision to discontinue direct sales in the section below.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will my Hive products continue to work?
    Yes. The Hive app and products will continue to work. You should not experience an interruption in service as critical updates to the app and product firmware will continue.
  • What about the Hive one year product warranty?
    We offer a warranty on our products for one year from the date the product is activated, provided that this date is within a reasonable time period from purchase. We are offering customers a six-month period in which to activate new devices under full warranty. Products must be activated by June 30th, 2020 to benefit from the one-year warranty.
  • Will Hive customer service and technical support remain available?
    Yes. Hivehome.com/support is available for Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), product guides, and how-to videos and Hive Support will remain available to address unanswered customer service questions and provide live technical support.
  • What will Hive do with my account data?
    Our commitment to the security of your personal data remains unchanged by this decision. We will keep your personal information for as long as you have an account with us and will not sell your data to third parties. If you decide to close your account with us, we will keep your personal information for a reasonable period to maintain our records and legal obligations to you.
  • Are there other platforms that support Hive products?
    Hive Lights and Plugs can currently be paired with Amazon Echo Plus. Customers would need to setup their Amazon account and Echo Plus to pair their Hive Lights and Plugs.
