Ever since Hive first partnered with Amazon Echo™, it’s given you yet another easy way to manage your smart home through the Hive app. But there’s always room for improvement, and we’ve been listening to your feedback to make it even better.

Lots of you wanted to be able to change the colour of your Hive Active Light™ with Alexa, and now you can!

Another top requested feature was the ability to check your inside temperature. To do this, just say Alexa, what’s my inside temperature?

Google Assistant is on the way

The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that some of your Hive products now integrate with Google Assistant. This has been in the pipeline for a while, and we’re delighted that our first integration is live.

We’re going to be bringing out lots of improvements to this feature, so keep checking the blog or your emails for the latest news.

Hive customer service wins big

Our Customer Service Team do a brilliant job delivering a fantastic experience to our customers, and it seems their customer service has been recognised as they’ve just been awarded Team of the Year at the National Contact Centre Awards.

Congratulations to everyone in the Hive Customer Service Team for this brilliant award win.

Welcome Home Starter Plan

Last but not least, we’ve launched our new monthly plan called the Hive Welcome Home Starter Plan. It gives you everything you need to get your home just the way you like it wherever you are, with two Hive Active Lights, a Hive Motion Sensor and a Hive Active Plug™, all for a small monthly cost. Take a look at the Welcome Home Starter Plan here.

We’ll be posting again in the next few weeks with lots of exciting news, but in the meantime, if you have any questions or suggestions please leave a comment below.
