Join their SEG tariff and sell your spare electricity back to the grid at up to 12p per kWh. Export Premium and Export Extra tariffs are only available to customers with a British Gas electricity import tariff.
Savings assume a 4.0 kW solar photovoltaic system installed on a south facing roof of a medium domestic electrical demand (2,700 kWh) property in Milton Keynes with a typical 5 kWh battery. Residual solar energy production is assumed to be used locally when daytime with excess sold back to the grid on the SEG at 15.1 pence per kWh for British Gas electricity customers on the Export & Earn Plus tariff. The consumption import cost reduction of £514.54 combined with the exported energy sold back to the grid at £300.84 results in the reduction of 86.0%, or £815.38 off the Ofgem medium electricity bill of £947.69.
Hive Solar Saver offer is available to customers who accept a quote for a Hive solar and/or battery installation from the 22nd May 2024.
