Customer Terms and Conditions
Please read these Promotion Terms carefully. They explain the Hive+ “Reconnect with Hive+ for Half Price” promotion (the “Promotion”), which gives eligible customers 50% off a Hive+ annual subscription, subject to the eligibility rules below.
The Promotion is made up of two separate offers: (1) the Supported Reconnect Offer and (2) the Standard Reconnect Offer. Both offers form part of the same Promotion and are governed by these Promotion Terms.
These Promotion Terms only cover the Promotion itself. Hive+ membership (including billing, renewal and cancellation) is subject to separate Hive+ membership terms and any applicable Hive general terms.
By participating in the Promotion, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
Words in bold
Some of the words and phrases we have used in these terms have a particular meaning. We have highlighted these words in bold and explained what they mean below.
Definitions By “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean Centrica Hive Limited (Hive) (registered number 05782908), with registered office at Millstream, Maidenhead Road, Windsor, SL4 5GD, as the promoter of this Promotion (the “Promoter”).
Customer - means an individual who meets the eligibility requirements in section 3.
Discounted Subscription - means a Hive+ annual subscription at the promotional price of £19.95 (50% off the standard annual price).
Offer Communication - means the email sent by Hive inviting an eligible Customer to take up the Promotion and containing the Offer Link.
Offer Link - means the standard link to the promotional sign-up page for the Discounted Subscription. The Offer Link is sent only to eligible Customers via an Offer Communication and must not be shared.
Promotion - means the “Reconnect with Hive+ for Half Price” promotion described in these Promotion Terms.
Supported Reconnect Offer - means the offer described in the section titled “PROMOTION PERIODS” (section 4) as the Supported Reconnect Offer.
Supported Reconnect Offer Period - has the meaning given in in the “PROMOTION PERIODS” section below (section 4).
Standard Reconnect Offer - means the offer described in the section titled “PROMOTION PERIODS” (section 4) as the Standard Reconnect Offer.
Standard Reconnect Offer Period - has the meaning given in in the PROMOTION PERIODS section below (section 4).
1. THE PROMOTION
1. Eligible Customers will receive 50% off a Hive+ annual subscription at £19.95 (RRP £39.90) (the “Discounted Subscription”). The discount applies to the first year of a new annual Hive+ subscription only.
2. The Promotion and Discounted Subscription have no cash value or cash alternative and are not transferable or exchangeable.
3. The Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
2. HOW TO REDEEM
To redeem the Promotion: click the Offer Link in your Offer Communication; sign in to your Hive+ account; and complete purchase of the Discounted Subscription during the applicable Promotion Period.
The Offer Link is sent only to eligible Customers via email. You must not share the Offer Link with anyone else. If we reasonably suspect the Offer Link has been shared, misused or used by someone who is not eligible, we may refuse redemption or withdraw the Promotion in accordance with the General Terms below.
3. ELIGIBILITY
- To be eligible for the Promotion, you must; be a resident of the UK; aged 18 years or over; and meet the eligibility criteria for either the Supported Reconnect Offer (section 3.3) or the Standard Reconnect Offer (section 3.4).
- The Promotion is not available to: existing Hive+ members with an active Hive+ subscription at the time of redemption; or British Gas HomeCare customers with an active HomeCare product or service at the time of redemption.
- You are eligible for the Supported Reconnect Offer if: your monthly Hive+ renewal failed due to missing or invalid card details; and you were removed from Hive+ membership on 24 December 2025 as a result.
- You are eligible for the Standard Reconnect Offer if: you previously cancelled your Hive+ membership; and you receive an Offer Communication inviting you to “Reconnect With Hive+ for Half Price”.
4. PROMOTION PERIODS
- The Supported Reconnect Offer is available during the Supported Reconnect Offer Period. The Supported Reconnect Offer Period runs from 10 March 2026 and will expire at 23:59 on 24 March 2026 (inclusive). Eligible Customers will receive an Offer Communication containing the Offer Link.
- The Standard Reconnect Offer is an ongoing offer and may be withdrawn or removed at any time in accordance with the General Terms below. Eligible Customers will be sent an Offer Communication containing the Offer Link within seven (7) days of the cancellation confirmation email for their previous Hive+ membership.
5. LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
- The Promotion may be redeemed once per eligible Customer.
- The Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discount.
- Unless you cancel before renewal, after the first year your Hive+ annual subscription will automatically renew at the standard annual rate. The standard annual rate is £39.90/year.
- If you cancel the Discounted Subscription during the 12‑month term, no refund will be provided for any unused period unless required by applicable law.
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any loss, cost, damage or disappointment suffered as a result of: ineligibility for the Promotion; our inability to contact you using the details you have provided; delays or failures caused by third-party systems, email providers‑ or technical issues; or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
- You are responsible for ensuring that your contact details are kept up to date.
6. GENERAL TERMS
- We reserve the right to hold, void, suspend, cancel, amend or withdraw this Promotion at any time without notice, including (without limitation) where we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, where there has been a technical or administrative error, or where changes are required by law or regulation. Any such withdrawal or amendment will not affect customers who have already qualified for the Promotion prior to the date of withdrawal or amendment.
- These terms do not affect any other rights you may have under warranty or your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (as amended) and any laws that replace it. If you want independent advice about your rights, you can speak to Citizens Advice or Trading Standards.
- These Promotion Terms are effective from 10 March 2026. We may update these Promotion Terms from time to time. Any updates will not affect Customers who have already redeemed the Promotion prior to the update.
- Separate product and services terms and conditions will apply.

- These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

- Any personal information provided will be held and used only by us, or our agents and suppliers, to administer the Promotion.
- We care about privacy and we protect your personal data. Please read our Privacy Notices to understand how we collect and use your personal data and your data protection rights.
