How can we help you?
Why does my home overshoot my set temperature?
When your heating system is on it takes a certain amount of time for the water heated by the boiler to make it around all of the radiators. When your thermostat hits the target temperature you’ve set it tells your boiler to switch off. The hot water already going through your radiators will continue to heat your home as it’s already been heated by the boiler. This can sometimes result in the actual temperature continuing to rise for a short time after the boiler has gone off (this is also known as an overshoot).
