What is the “anti-stick” feature in Hive Radiator Valves?
The “anti-stick” feature in Hive Radiator Valves makes sure that your valve doesn’t get stuck in position when it doesn’t move for a long period of time.
This is a problem commonly seen in “non-smart” thermostatic radiator valves (TRV). It happens most often while your heating is off in the warm summer months, with some radiators getting stuck and staying cold when your heating comes on in Autumn.
Hive’s “anti-stick” feature combats this. On Thursday mornings, your Hive Radiator Valves will fully open and close to keep your valve body moving freely. This helps to avoid any nasty surprises when the weather changes.
While Hive Radiator Valve’s “anti-stick” feature is opening and closing the valve body, you might hear some buzzing or vibrating for a minute or two.
