How can I update my Hive View or Hive View Outdoor firmware?

When you first set up Hive View or Hive View Outdoor, once connected it will check to see if a new firmware update is available and update automatically.

Once installed, whenever a new version of firmware becomes available, your camera will usually automatically update. You may also receive a message under "Settings" in the app that an update is available, if this happens you can manually trigger the update by selecting "Update".

When updating firmware, the dot light on your camera will be yellow and will flash slowly. Please note your camera will restart during a firmware upgrade process, this usually takes less than a minute, and access to the live stream and motion, person or sound detection will not be possible while it is restarting.

We aim to carry out updates as quickly as possible with minimum disruption to your service. It's important that your camera is on the most up to date firmware so you get the best camera experience possible.
