What does Hive Mimic mode do?
Hive Mimic mode works with your Hive Lights to make it look like you're home when you're not.
When you’re out tap ‘Mimic’ on your Hive app or online dashboard and Mimic mode will turn your Hive Lights on and off in a staggered pattern to look like you’re there. Then when you get home tap ‘Stop Mimic’ to turn it off.
You can set a schedule for Mimic Mode to start and end. Your lights will come on randomly within 30 minutes of the start time, and start to switch off within 30 minutes of the end time. When Mimic Mode is on it will slightly vary the on and off times automatically, this way your lights will have a different pattern each night.
To use Mimic mode you’ll need a current version of our Hive Hub. If you have the hub shown below, please contact us to discuss your upgrade. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am-7pm, Saturday 9am – 5pm and Sunday 10am – 5pm (webchat only).
